WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS CAR?

The car was built by John Hile in Toowoomba and sold to a gentleman in 1962 or 63. The man who bought it would have bought it through a car company 'Howards' in Toowoomba. The most I know is this man came from Victoria and also owned a property in Goombungee, west of Toowoomba.

Have you seen this car? Anthony Schmidt is searching for a Austin Healey Sprite his father-in-law modified in the early 60's. The car was made on a chassis and engine of the Sprite, but he built a fibreglass body around tubular steel.

Anthony is trying to find out if the car still exists or has gone to where all good cars go. If you know of this car or its whereabouts please contact: Anthony Schmidt or phone 0412214724 anytime

HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A BONNET LIKE THIS ONE?

While at first glance it may be mistaken for an Arkley, a closer inspection will reveal major differences in the guard wheel openings and the headlights. The Arkley guards being totally open like a Dune Buggy.

It is made from a mould which originated at a company (now closed) called Pink Panther Panels, located in Bayswater VIC, Australia. The mould has since passed through several hands and is now located in Brisbane QLD, Australia.

It is not known if this bonnet had a manufacturers name or if any other examples were created.

It's currently nick named "The Shark". Beautiful isn't it?
