I have attached a picture of a '59 Bugeye I bought in Coventry, England in 1965. The car had been raced from new and then put back on the road by the previous owner. The engine was built by Downton and was bored out to 999cc (the car ran in a 1000cc class), and was very fast at the time. The fibreglass front is unique in that I have never seen another one exactly the same, not to say that there not any others out there. I sold the car a couple of years later to buy a 1098cc Midget. Presently I am building myself another '59 Bugeye, and I will paint it Primrose Yellow of course!
